way.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just started getting up in the morning and forcing myself in the water every day,\u201d she told Global News.<\/p>\n<p>No matter the weather \u2014 it could be warm, cold or icy \u2014 MacLennan hasn\u2019t missed a morning dip for more than three years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m allowed to say no,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m allowed to say, \u2018OK, not today,\u2019 if it\u2019s too cold, too dangerous, too whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But so far, that hasn\u2019t happened.<\/p>\n<div class=\"c-inlineSignup\" data-newsletter-inline=\"\">\n<div class=\"c-inlineSignup__image\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" loading=\"lazy\" headlines, delivered to your inbox once a day.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>MacLennan has been doing this morning ritual for 1,293 days and counting.<\/p>\n<p>Mostly she will take a dip in the Oyster River but she has also taken a dip in the ocean, river and various lakes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"c-ad c-ad--bigbox l-article__ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe bring spouses, we bring warm clothes, we bring fire, food,\u201d MacLennan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut you really have to be aware of what\u2019s going on morning ritual because it makes her body feel great and wakes her up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re like, \u2018Cool, that didn\u2019t kill me,\u2019 and you kind of just have this new lease on
