The 2025 Grammy Awards <\/a>recognized some of the most talented performers and biggest hits in music, while showcasing all the glitz and glam<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>, who has become the most nominated artist in the award show\u2019s history with a total of 99 nominations, <\/a>took home Album of the Year for her country album, Cowboy Carter. <\/em><\/p>\n

This is the first time she has won the award and she became the first Black woman to do so in the 21st century. Lauryn Hill<\/a> last won in 1999 for\u00a0The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill<\/em>, joining Natalie Cole<\/a> and Whitney Houston<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not only was the Texas Hold \u2019Em\u00a0<\/em>singer the most nominated artist this year, with a total of 11 nods, but she also has the most Grammy Awards of all time, with a total of 35 wins.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 started the night strong by taking home the award for Best Country Duo\/Group performance for her collab with Miley Cyrus<\/a>, II Most Wanted. <\/em>The win marked her first-ever win in a Country category \u2014making her the first Black woman to win a Grammy for a country music song since the Pointer Sisters win in 1975 for Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 also won Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter<\/em>, making her the first Black female artist to win in the category.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow I really was not expecting this,\u201d Beyonc\u00e9 said as she accepted her award. \u201cI want to thank God that I\u2019m still able to do what I love after so many years. I\u2019d like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted album. We worked so hard on it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kendrick Lamar<\/a>\u2019s Not Like Us, <\/em>a diss track released during his feud with Drake<\/a>, won Song of the Year and Record of the Year. It\u2019s the second rap song to win Record of the Year following Childish Gambino\u2019s<\/a> win in 2019 for This Is America<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst and foremost, praise to the most high we woke up this morning,\u201d Lamar said in his acceptance speech, sending love to Los Angeles. \u201cWe gonna dedicate this one to this city: Compton, Long Beach, Inglewood, Hollywood, out to the Valley, San Bernardino, all that. This is my neck of the woods that held me down since a young pup, since I was in the studio scrapping to write the best raps and all that to write ones like these.\u201d<\/p>\n
